"Avalon"

A place of quiet and serenity, located on 17 acres of heavily forested land with creeks running through (unless it is exceptionally dry). There are boulders in the forest for sitting and reflecting, or take a blanket and lie under the trees. There are walking paths with benches along the way and two firepits, one specifically set up for cooking, the other for the traditional campfire to sit and roast marshmallows or sing, or tell stories.

The entrance to the park is about 5-10 minutes away where you can enjoy paddle boats, swimming, the park restaurant, horseback riding, train rides, beautiful hiking trails (including some along the river). The marina is about 15 minutes away where you can rent boats and jet skis for an afternoon on the lake. Weyerhauser trails for ATVs are located throughout the area (no ATVs allowed on Avalon).

The home has a covered porch wrapping three sides with rockers, a porch swing, and additional furniture for lounging or playing cards. There are two additional open decks for star gazing

and one additional covered porch on the second story for enjoying the view. There is also a screened porch and an enclosed sleeping porch for nice weather sleeping with an open air feel.

The great room has a big screen tv with comfortable seating for 9 people. It has old timber/beam construction with four ceiling fans and a Hubbarton Forge chandelier. It also features surround sound. There is a DVD and VCR library and many board games for family enjoyment when you are not exploring nature.

There is a gourmet kitchen featuring a Sub-Zero side by side and a dual fuel Wolfe range with 6 burners and griddle. The range has a pot filler for easily adding water to any dish. The kitchen is well-equipped with pots hanging above the range, a huge variety of spices, and cooking implements. There are two sinks and two dishwashers, and many serving dishes, serving utensils, and two dining areas within the kitchen area with additional dining space outside.

The master bedroom features a California King bed and a spectacular view of the forest through double arched windows. It also has a corner fireplace and separate wall-mounted sconces on each side of the bed. (There are hooks on the walls for hanging clothes and a small chest of drawers, there is no closet access but we have tried to cover any storage/ hanging issues.) Attached to the MBR is the Master Bath which is simple, yet functional with a tub/ shower and two pedestal sinks and a make-up desk and chair, and a separate water closet. Open storage abounds in the bath, with a chair rail running around the perimeter and towel hooks/bars for all of your needs.

There is an upright piano in the great room if you or your guests are talented in that area. Upstairs there are two bedrooms: one with a king and a daybed, the other with 3 single beds. The rooms are connected by a bath with separate sink area (two sinks) closed off from the shower/toilet area. Upstairs in the loft, there is a vast library for your reading enjoyment.
