Make your list, check it twice, and then head into Broken Bow, Oklahoma to do a little holiday shopping. You’ll find a wonderful array of individual shops selling one-of-a-kind gifts and specialty items for all ages. Here are a few of our favorites.
Hemp Galore, a jewelry store plus much more, is a showcase for local artists. Owner Brandi Going is an artist herself and makes the leather wrap and sterling pieces on display. (If you don’t see something you like, she’ll work with you to create one for pick-up later!) Other handcrafted items include stained glass works from MorningStarr Glass, wood art designs from Among the Pines Designs, lotions and soaps from Pokni’s Pantry, and gourd vases from Brenda Dewald Fine Arts. If you’d like to create your own jewelry, check Hemp Galore’s Facebook page for open house classes; or arrange for a private lesson in making cool wrap bracelets.
