Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow, OK
Beavers Bend State Park is a lovely section of wilderness surrounding Broken Bow Lake. Our Broken Bow cabins are conveniently close, so you can explore the park’s Oklahoma mountain bike trails all day long without worrying about a lengthy drive home. The park has five nature trails, totaling 12 miles of scenic riding space. Here are three of our favorites:
- The shortest trail option is Forest Heritage Tree Trail. It is an approximately one-mile loop with low difficulty. It’s just right for a quick, easy ride in the morning or a spin with the family. Although it’s not the most challenging of Oklahoma mountain bike trails, it is pretty and pleasant, so cyclists of all ages and skill levels enjoy it.
- The Beaver Creek trail has two possible entrances, so you can start from the Nature Center or enter from the Forest Heritage Tree Trail for a longer ride. The trail hugs the creek, so you’ll enjoy the sounds and views of running water throughout your journey. The bubbling creek will delight your ears as you race over the bumpy Oklahoma terrain. It’s one of the most relaxing things to do in Broken Bow, OK—second only to an in-cabin massage with Beavers Bend Creative Escapes.
- There are two Oklahoma mountain bike trails that form three-mile loops starting at the Nature Center. One is more challenging than the other, so be sure to choose based on your desired experience. The more challenging option takes you through Lookout Mountain Trail and over rough terrain.
